Our Global Story
The legacy of Pizza Hut® began in 1958 when brothers Dan and Frank Carney in Wichita, Kansas, USA, were inspired by a family friend to open a pizza parlour. With just $600 borrowed from their mother, second-hand equipment, and a small 25-seat building, the brothers launched a brand that would change the way the world enjoys pizza.
The name “Pizza Hut®” was inspired by their small building, which looked like a hut and allowed only nine letters on the sign. From these humble beginnings, Pizza Hut® grew to become the largest and most successful pizza restaurant in the world, serving over a million pizzas every day across 100 countries with more than 15,000 restaurants worldwide.
Pizza Hut® in Malta
Pizza Hut® made its mark in Malta in 1993, opening the first outlet in St. Julian’s. The restaurant quickly became a local favourite, with long queues of pizza lovers eager to taste our signature offerings.
Over the years, we expanded with additional outlets, now including Campus Hub Msida, Qormi, Zejtun, and Baystreet St. Julian’s. We continue to bring hot, fresh pizzas to our guests, whether dining in, taking out, or enjoying delivery.
